Shandy (1994-2010)
My sweet Shandy went to eternal sleep in my arms this morning at 9:30 a.m.. I can't imagine life without him. My heart is breaking, but at least I know he is not suffering anymore.

Awwww so sorry Brenda :( I know the pain of losing best pals and my heart goes out to you. (((hugs)))
16 years is quite a long life for a dog, but I know how you feel. It's horrible to loose such a close member of the family. In the past three years I've lost three dogs, at the ages of 14, 15 and 16 each and two horses at the ages of 21, and 23. It's always a kick in the gut to deal with. Sorry for your loss

Brenda, I am so very sorry. Shandy will bein your heart forever. I am with you. I am sorry I missed your birthday, but I cannot wish you but peace now. Peace to cry and remember the little soul who gave you inconditional love for so many years.

I have never fully recovered from the same thing happening to me when Jed our Siberian Husky died on my lap on 14th January 1996. I still think of him and all the good times we had together then fill up with tears occasionally. It gets easier to live with but is always there so its important to allow yourself to smile about your loved one too from time to time to balance things out a bit.

So sorry about your dog. I cannot imagine losing my little ones. You probably have so many lovely memories with him..
I'm so sorry Brenda - please remember that you gave him the final, ultimate gift you could ever give and I'm positive he is forever grateful for that. Keep your eyes and ears open and I'm sure you'll feel him around you soon. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Brenda-I'm so sorry to read this about your little boy. I fell in love with your little boy when I saw him in his sock sweater you made (that picture is so adorable), and that is the first pattern I'm going to try to do after I get the basics down. I hope you are doing OK and I believe that our furry babies are always attached to us even after they pass. My prayers are with you.
